1906 remodel + carriage house workshop

Mead, Colorado

Rehabilitation of a two-story Dutch Colonial style house built in 1906, and addition/ workshop conversion for a 1910 carriage house. This project involved renovation of 85% of all interior and exterior finishes. Structural modifications altered the dimensions and configuration of main floor living areas to create a larger and more open floor plan. Carriage house addition added floor space, an office bump-out and custom barn doors. Interior woodwork included new kitchen cabinets, bamboo and refinished fir flooring, new oak stairs, and a mud room/ laundry with custom storage cabinets, shelves and bench. New windows and paint inside and out restored the home's appearance and functionality.

Sleightholm Workshop maintains an active awareness that reusing existing structures is ultimately the most environmentally responsible and sustainable means of making places to live.
